Civil-Patriotic, legal and multicultural education is a purposeful work on education among young people of state consciousness, patriotism and respect for the state symbols and attributes of the Republic of Kazakhstan, developed national identity, culture of interethnic relations, social and religious tolerance. Of particular importance in modern conditions is the formation of legal consciousness, readiness to resist illegal manifestations in the youth environment.

In carrying out this work, three fundamental aspects are important:

• cognitive-assuming knowledge of history, spiritual bases, culture of the Fatherland;
• emotional-manifested in the awareness of their historical, spiritual, cultural identity, belonging to the people, country, humanity as a whole;
• behavioural-the ability and willingness to act actively on these values.

The following forms of Patriotic education are used to implement this direction in the KGIU:

• holding of scientific conferences, round tables, seminars, debates, discussions. The University has an active social and political club “Abadan”, uniting in its structure the debate club, discussion club ” Freedom of speech»;
• holding of solemn events dedicated to the state holidays of the Republic of Kazakhstan, using the state symbols and attributes;
• curatorial hours;
• study of social and humanitarian disciplines, preparation of reports, abstracts;
• participation in competitions of Patriotic songs, month of military-Patriotic education, rallies, demonstrations, etc.;
• meetings with veterans of war and labor, honorary citizens of the city, Republic, deputies, honored workers of party and state construction, etc.;
• excursion to the city Museum, the Museum of the history of KSIU.

Patriotism is a particularly significant spiritual value, which is the basis of unity, harmonization of society, preservation of its identity and originality in a diverse human community. A dynamically developing society cannot do without spiritualizing its goals and aspirations. International and Patriotic education allows for a systematic ideological impact on the individual in the process of its formation and creation of a new citizen of Kazakhstan of the XXI century, able to continue reforms and democratic reforms and bring our country to the level of the leading States of the world community.
