Dormitory for students

The Karaganda industrial university continued cares of a life and a healthy lifestyle of students and employees, cares of improvement of social conditions. The university has two well-planned hostels with re-planning of part of rooms under small-family apartments for employees, undergraduates, family students.

The total area of hostels of 4892 sq.m, students and graduate students live. Students live in rooms on 1-3 persons. The university seeks to provide with a place in a hostel of all needing. For being trained under the budget this rule is carried out completely, for being trained under the contract the university provides a hostel on a contractual basis in the presence of empty seats.

The entrance to KIU hostels is open for students till 23:00. Visit of hostels by guests of the living is limited for 23.00 hours, except time of delivery of examinations when visit of hostels by guests is strictly forbidden.

All economic part in a hostel the manager of a hostel directs. He is engaged in furniture and stock delivery, provides necessary repair of premises. The manager of a hostel will organize work of duty commandants. The bed linen in the presence of the warrant on the settlement can be received at commandants under a personal responsibility. The exchange of bed linen is carried out 2 times a week.

To the nonresident students enlisted in KIU for training in intramural and extramural (evening) and correspondence forms, on places under contracts with payment of cost of training and having continuous registration outside Temirtau, in the presence of free housing stock places in a hostel with accommodation payment are provided.All hostels are equipped with modern system of video surveillance, protection and the automatic fire alarm system with a conclusion of a signal to the panel of the central dispatching office of University. Doctrines on observance by students of fire safety regulations living in hostels are regularly carried out.

In hostels it is strictly forbidden to smoke, drink alcoholic drinks, to use heaters and tiles.
