Spiritual and moral education – assumes creation of conditions for development of consciousness, formation of ethical principles, moral qualities and the installations which are coordinating with norms and traditions of society, development of creative abilities, formations of an active living position, creativity and an initiative. Spiritual and moral education is connected with norms of moral and professional ethics in educational, production and public work.

Spiritual and moral education assumes familiarizing of youth to fine through development of world art values of eras and the people through a prism national and universal, to prove in communication with the culture world for expression of the identity and creative activity.

Without ignoring the principles of the secular state, in educational work it is necessary to pay attention to studying, an explanation of a role of religion in the modern world and life of the certain person. It is necessary to develop such qualities of the personality as respect for people of other culture, religious beliefs, a sense of responsibility, conscience, a debt, toleration, neighborliness, cooperation, mutual aid, etc. The world history convinces that any civilization was created and developed, being based and on the religious principles, the religion is an important factor of culture as a whole.

At the same time, work in this direction assumes an explanation of essence and vigorous activity in the modern world of the extremist religious organizations, different missionaries, is destructive operating on consciousness and the mentality bearing destructive character concerning the person, culture, the world community as a whole, in the intolerance reaching acts of terrorist activity.

On October 18 it is noted as day of spiritual unity and a consent in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Students of KSIU visit the city museum where the exposition devoted to religious associations of our city, participate in seminars and the meetings dated for this day, inviting to constructive dialogue of spiritual leaders of traditional religious associations, representatives of the ethnocultural centers, creative youth of area, the city.

The student’s youth has possibility of self-realization by means of participation in the organization and carrying out such actions as the creative competition “Two Stars”, a gala concert to the International March 8, a holiday Nauryz, the interfaculty competition “Miss  KSIU” and “Miss Nauryz”, April Fools’ Day of humour and laughter, “Mister KSIU”, festive events for May 1, the Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War, dedication of students, an interfaculty festival of creativity “Blossom my Kazakhstan! “, New Year’s masquerade and others.

The listed cultural events became traditional for the Karaganda state industrial university. Winners of competitions are encouraged with diplomas, the letters of thanks, valuable presents.

The organization of visits to the Theatre for Young Audience, regional theaters supplement moral education, form esthetic and art taste of studying youth.

Important component of spiritual and moral education is charity. In KSIU the volunteer movement “Kamkor” which is carrying out the patronage help to orphanages of the city, to elderly people of the House of mercy, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, home front workers is created. Students of KSIU and pupils of college prepare joint gala concerts, organize charitable events on fund raising, buy gifts, give classes with the children, promoting their to intellectual and physical development, adaptation in society, etc.

All large actions are coveredby mass media that positively influences as image of studying youth, and educational institution as a whole.
