HISTORY OF COLLEGE
The Technical and Economic College (TEC) is a structural unit of the NAO “Karaganda Industrial University” (KarIU) and operates under the continuing education system of college-university.
The college was organized at the Karaganda Metallurgical Institute (KarMetI) in 1998 in the city of Temirtau, Karaganda region and subsequently renamed the Humanitarian Technical College. In 1998-1999, the college was headed by Anatoly Mikhailovich Suvorov, in 1999-2001 G.A. Mikryukova and Suvorova L.V. From 2001 to 2010, the leadership of the college was entrusted to the assistant professor of the Department of Physics and Higher Mathematics, a teacher of the highest category, Baysalbaeva Alfiya Samievna. From 2010 to the present, the director of the college is the Master of Education, a teacher of the highest category Khamitov Sapar Bagdatovich. In 2016, the Humanitarian and technical College was renamed the Technical and economic College under the RSE “Karaganda state industrial University”. Since 2020, the Technical and economic College has been renamed the Technical and economic College under the nao “Karaganda industrial University”.
College education in all specialties is conducted in the state and Russian languages on the basis of 9th grade and on the basis of 11th grade. At the end of the college, a state diploma is issued. In addition, the graduate diploma of our college is quoted not only in the region, but also abroad.
New innovative teaching technologies have been introduced at the college, each specialty is provided with a laboratory base (laboratories: electron microscopy, geotechnics, radiography, laboratory of metal forming and heat treatment processes, adjustment of electrical equipment, melting room).
Every year, the authority of the college in the city and the region increases, due to the fact that the college is training qualified and demanded specialists in the field of ferrous metallurgy and other industries.
The teaching staff has a high level of qualification. Every year, teachers improve their qualifications, special disciplines are taught by teachers with a degree.
In accordance with the state license, the college carries out educational activities in 9 specialties: 2 economic and 7 technical specialties.
