The implementation of the «Silver university» project continues at Karaganda industrial university.

On June 1 the second stream of students, numbering more than 20 people, began training in the course «Computer literacy». Before the start of practical classes, the students of the courses got acquainted with the university. Galina Sivyakova, vice–rector for strategic development, told about the history of the university’s formation, and Svetlana Anatolyevna Noskova, head of the library, told about the university library.

At the end of the tour, the students were divided into 2 subgroups, after which an introductory lesson was conducted with them. At the introductory lesson, the cadets of the «Silver university» got acquainted with the device of a personal computer, mastered the basic techniques of working with a mouse and keyboard, as well as flash media.

In addition to computer literacy courses, the «Silver university» project is recruiting groups in such areas as financial literacy, entrepreneurship school, chess club.
