On October 25, 2018, the Karaganda State Industrial University, which is part of the Temirtau Palace of Culture PPO, on the eve of the party forum was visited by the newly appointed secretary of the Nur Otan party Ilya Sergeyevich Terenchenko and the first deputy chairman of the regional branch of the party Ospanova Kadisha Bazarbaevna.

The Temirtau Palace of Culture primary party organization under the Temirtau city branch of the Nur Otan party has 981 party members in its ranks and includes the following organizations: KGIU, Palace of Culture, Vershina PC, KazEnergoMash LLP, the largest number of members is in the university ( 726 people).

For the guests, an excursion to the digital laboratory of the ZD Printing was held, during which the functional possibilities and directions of the laboratory were presented. The process of 3D printing is the process of creating a real object on the model of a three-dimensional model by overlaying layers and today in this laboratory the necessary parts for educational equipment are printed. n addition, the laboratories are equipped with interactive equipment, video communication, a modern computer park, networked and Internet access, software and hardware systems from Festo, Siemens and Sew Evrodrive.

Then the excursion continued at the regional center of the Cisco Networking Academy, which was opened as part of the university-based initiative “Preparing IT Specialists” Today, the center has trained and certified over the course “IT Essentials” more than 100 teachers and trainers of computer science in secondary schools and

colleges in the region. Virtually all computer classes opened in the Karaganda region as part of the social initiative of the Nur Otan party are taught by competent specialists who have been trained in the regional center

The rector of KGIU Zhautikov BA spoke about the ongoing work on the implementation of the social initiative of the Nur Otan party “Digital Party”. Bakhyt Akhatovich noted that one of the strategic objectives of the university is the development of a unified information and educational environment and the full-scale introduction of modern IT technologies as part of the implementation of the Digital Kazakhstan programs and the Digital Party social initiating.

The university is doing a lot of work to implement the social initiatives of the party, introducing modern learning technologies, expanding international cooperation.

As part of the implementation of the anti-corruption policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on October 23, 2018, the Karaganda Industrial University hosted a debate tournament “Kazakhstan Today and in the Future” among civil servants and students.

The competition was organized by KIU and akimat of the city of Temirtau.

The event was held in the state and Russian languages. In total, 8 teams took part in the tournament.

The representatives of the State Service Department of the City of Temirtau, the Department of Employment and Social Programs of the City of Temirtau, the State Unit of the Department of Housing and Public Utilities, Passenger Transport and Highways, Construction and Housing Inspection Temirtau city ”, State Educational Institution“ Temirtau City Department of Education ”,“ Temirtau City Department of Entrepreneurship and Agriculture ”and Temirtau city Akim’s office

During the tournament, civil servants and youth activists argued for their views on how to increase the effectiveness of the fight against corruption. During the discussion, the participants showed their analytical and critical thinking, communication skills and willingness to cooperate. Actively shared their opinions on the selected issue and entered into a debate.

The debate tournament is held according to the American Parliamentary Format (APF) and consisted of two rounds. According to the rules of the tournament, the teams were divided into two opposing camps – “Government” and “Opposition”. The goal of the team was one – to defend their position, to convince neutral judges in the correctness of their position. At the same time, to disprove the arguments of their opponents with the help of all the same arguments.

In the finals, the best teams scored a brilliant victory. Madbolova Madina and Alikhan Maғzhan – the Kazakh league, Eleftherodi Saveliy and Korabayev Dias – the Russian league.

During the game, the best speakers, who showed their skills of analytical, critical thinking and oratorical skills, adequately defending their positions, were recognized by Rauan Maym, Serikbolat Zhannur and Korabayev Dias. The best judges of the tournament were Zhanatbek Almas, Kim Vasiliy.

On October 23, 2018, students of the Karaganda State Industrial University visited the Excursion to Childhood exhibition organized by the local history museum of Temirtau, timed to the Day of our city.

For the display of this exhibition, the museum staff prepared for six months. In the spring, an action was announced on the theme “The childhood of our grandmothers” and six months later, collecting exhibits and conducting scientific work, the museum workers opened a unique exhibition

Thanks to the residents of our city, we managed to collect about a hundred different exhibits, ranging from drawings, photographs, soft toys and board games, to puzzles, dolls, as well as various attributes of street games. The age of the presented items at the exhibition is completely different, they are dated from the fifties of the last century to the present days.

The exhibition reflected three zones. This is a zone dedicated to board games, a zone-installation “Grandma’s Cabinet”, which tells about where the children were hiding, which is fraught with riddles and fears of different generations and a zone of yard hobbies.

Visitors to the exhibition could not only remember their childhood, but also read the stories of Temirtau  people associated with one or another toy from the exhibition.

Our students noted that each of them was able to find things from his childhood at the exhibition.

In addition, museum workers recommend visiting this exhibition to young residents of the city in order to find out how and what their mothers, fathers, grandmothers and grandfathers used to have fun with and in their childhood.

Citizens will be able to see all this with their own eyes for a month, until the end of November of the current year.

From 16 to 20 October 2018, 23 active students of KGIU took an active part in the first international IT – Forum “Digital technologies in the public interest” and the hackathon “IT – WEEKEND.KZ” in the framework of the “Rouhani  Zhangyru” program, organized by a public association “Association of Entrepreneurs of the Karaganda region” and the state institution “Management of youth policy of the Karaganda region”.

The program of the Forum was as follows:

From 16 to 18 October, on the basis of the Karaganda Economic University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, as part of the IT Forum, the IT-WEEKEND.KZ-2018 Hackathon was held among students of universities of the Karaganda region, with a total prize fund of 1,000,000 tenge, in which for three days the team enrolled, worked with situations related to information technology, and found solutions and solutions from them.

On October 19, a team building and master classes by leading world and Kazakhstani specialists in the field of IT – technologies for participants of the Hackathon took place in the country club “Derby Village”, and in the evening a meeting was held between the leading world and Kazakhstani experts in the field of IT – technology with business.

Also, on October 19, an exhibition of IT technologies “IT-WEEKEND.KZ – 2018” in the building of the party “Nur Otan” was open for everyone.

October 20 was the main day of the forum, where topics such as “Karaganda – the launching pad in the IT space”, “Public order for the use of digital technologies in the interests of society and the state”, “Problems and prospects of training IT specialists”, “Digital technologies in support of a competitive economy ”,“ SMART-city management projects – presentation of successful projects ”.

With the help of this IT platform, young people were able to meet with world and Kazakhstani leading developers of Internet platforms in order to learn from their experience not only in programming, but also in business. The forum was also attended by representatives of state bodies, deputies of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, world and Kazakhstan experts in the field of IT.

Students of KGIU noted that they had gained the very necessary knowledge on the dialogue platforms, learned the basics of designing and promoting innovative projects.
