Independence Day is the most important holiday in the life of Kazakhstanis. Almost three decades ago, the people of Kazakhstan made their choice in favor of building a free, sovereign state. This is not an easy path, but already now we see the authority and importance of Kazakhstan on the world stage. Our economy is rapidly developing and improving, and cultural values that grow out of the traditions of our ancestors are multiplying. Together, we are building a strong and unified society, a competitive economy, and implementing an independent policy whose main priorities are protecting national interests and building friendly relations with other peoples and countries.
