Participation in this year’s international competition was held online under the motto «Connection Glory Future». 109 teams, 327 students from 39 regions and countries of the world competed in knowledge of cloud and network technologies, as well as innovations. Before participating in the international final, the team of Kazakhstani students showed the best results at the regional stage among the CIS countries and took 1st place, after which they received the honorary right to represent Kazakhstan from the entire CIS.

The team has been preparing for the Olympics for two years. Nurhat Gabdullayev, a trainer, a practicing expert on network technologies of the Kazakh Academy of Infocommunications, and a holder of the international certificate of Cisco ССIE, was a direct mentor. The students participated in various regional Olympiads, all of them prize-winners of the annual international Olympiad on network technologies Cisco Stars-2019 and Cisco Stars-2020, held by the multinational American company Cisco.

«Kazakhstanis for the first time ascended to the world Olympiad of winners of prestigious Olympiads in IT & ICT technologies. Now it is important for us to strengthen our achievements and show the stability of the results,»   – said Shahmaran Seilov.

According to the dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, ENU has created an effective system for the selection and training of champions. «We hear gratitude from employers who are waiting for our students. Business today lacks highly qualified specialists. Therefore, we work in cooperation with business and, I hope, we are moving towards the goal correctly» Shahmaran Seilov said in conclusion.
