Understanding the urgency of the state of emergency imposed in many regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and anti-crisis measures of the state in the economy and social sphere, the staff of Karaganda State Industrial University fully supports the statement of the Head of state Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in the decision on the next eight steps to support citizens and businesses of our country.

Many Kazakhstanians today are faced with great difficulties. In response to the coronavirus pandemic, as well as the adoption of anti-crisis measures, the country’s President announced a second package of anti-crisis measures. They are aimed at supporting citizens and small and medium-sized businesses. The initiatives announced by the Head of state on March 23 and March 31 will cover several million of our citizens.

We also appeal to all citizens of Kazakhstan. If possible, please restrict your movement in the quarantine zone without any special need, stay at home and transfer all possible social contacts online. Participate in initiatives of civil mutual assistance (#Bizbirgemiz, etc.). Only together we can cope with this problem quickly. As our President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted: «The coronavirus epidemic is a temporary phenomenon, and we will definitely overcome it. The unity and cohesion of our society gives us strength and confidence that together we will overcome all difficulties!»

The measures introduced in Kazakhstan are necessary. Through the introduction of a state of emergency, we can prevent the uncontrolled spread of the virus.

This situation must be perceived with understanding, calmness, self-control and avoid panic.

Instructions from the President to index pensions and state benefits, including targeted social assistance, by 10% annually, expand the coverage of additional social benefits in the amount of one minimum wage for certain segments of the population, extend from April 1 to July 1 the right of uninsured citizens to receive medical care in the system of mandatory social health insurance, expand the list of categories of citizens who should be provided with free food and household kits, suspend the payment of all taxes for SMEs for three months, etc. timely, they will help to overcome a number of difficulties.

The coronavirus epidemic is a temporary phenomenon, and the unity and cohesion of our society will give us strength and confidence that together we will overcome all difficulties!

The pandemic of coronovirus infection has taken over the entire world, so in order to prevent the further spread of the increased disease, the Government headed by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev declared a state of emergency to prevent the spread of the virus in Kazakhstan. Disinfection activities are carried out everywhere in densely populated areas.

On behalf of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, measures are being taken to strengthen the quarantine in all regions of the country, not only in the cities of Nur-Sultan and Almaty.

We should express our gratitude to the medical staff who provide all possible assistance to the population in carrying out preventive measures and providing medical care to people with a suspected dangerous disease-coronovirus.
