On December 21, 2018, the hackathon “IT Centers – Knowledge Beacons” was held at the «Astana Hub» IT-Startup International Technopark in Astana where Baurzhan Zhansultanovich Yerzhanov, Director of the Center for Information Technology and Telecommunications, took part from KGUI.

Ilya Sergeyevich Terenchenko, Secretary of the Nur Otan Party addressed the event with a welcoming speech, followed by Vice-Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nariman Nurlanovich Mukushev, Vice-Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Rustem Aydarbekuly Bigari and Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC “National Information and Communication Holding «Zerde» Pavel Vyacheslavovich Koktyshev.

The main theme of the hackathon “IT centers – beacons of knowledge” was the discussion of the development in our country of IT centers created for training IT specialists, their relevance and trends.

Adel Turebekovich Nasynov, head of the project “Training of IT-specialists”, made a presentation of the project “IT centers – beacons of knowledge”.

Recall that in the current year in Kazakhstan started the party project “Training of IT-specialists.”

«Training IT-specialists” should become for the population a kind of “Beacon of knowledge” in the field of legal, digital and social literacy. The program includes online surveys, webinars, online lectures, etc. The work is carried out in such areas as “Information Security”, “Modeling”, “Graphic Design” and others … – expert of the Secretariat of the Portfolio Office of the central office of the party «Nur Otan» Adel Nysanov»

On the basis of many Kazakhstani companies and regional universities, several dozens of IT centers have already been opened, which allow to train about 35 thousand people a year, including the unemployed and self-employed youth. All IT centers will soon be integrated with the new Astana Hub technology platform, opened in early November of this year.

Summing up the event, the participants noted that the work of the IT centers can help Kazakhstanis to adapt to the large-scale changes that are occurring in the country. Thanks to the project, everyone will be able to join the digital sphere, including getting a demanded specialty, as well as introducing and using digital technology to the population will help convey the meaning of the program documents of the Head of State and the «Nur Otan» party.
