The International Conference “Modern Electric and Power Systems”, which was held on November 15-17 in the Ukrainian city of Kremenchuk. The vice-rector of academic work of Karaganda State Industrial University Galina Sivyakova also participated in this conference.
The conference was held under the aegis of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), which is an international non-profit association of experts in the field of engineering, the world leader in the development of standards for radio electronics, electrical engineering and hardware for computing systems and networks. The main goal of this event was the communication of scientists and industry representatives from Ukraine and other countries, as well as discussion of new modern technical inventions in accordance with the themes of the conference.
Professor G. A. Sivyakova made a report “Remote control of electromechanical systems based on computer simulators”, which was prepared jointly with the rector of the State Research Institute of Computational Technologies, Professor BA Zhautikov.
“This conference is aimed at strengthening international relations and signing new contracts between universities in different countries,” said Galina Alexandrovna. – We have developed further joint work with universities in Ukraine, Poland, Slovenia and Egypt. We outlined a cooperation plan for the development of methodological aids and participation of our representatives in the competition of student works.
It should be noted that the IEEE unites more than 400 thousand individual members from 170 countries (including more than 100 thousand students), publishes the third part of the world technical literature on the use of radio electronics, computers, control systems, electrical engineering, including 122 refereed scientific journals and 36 industry journals for specialists, holds more than 300 major conferences a year. The Association took part in the development of about 900 operating standards.
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers annually publishes more than 1,500 advanced conference proceedings that are recognized by academia and industry around the world as the most important collection of consolidated published works in the field of electrical engineering, informatics and related fields.
Proceedings of the conference are indexed in the database “Scopus” – a bibliographic and abstract database and an instrument for tracking the citation of articles published in scientific publications. Indexes 18 thousand scientific titles on technical, medical and humanities sciences of five thousand publishers. The Scopus database in many countries is one of the main sources for obtaining scientometric data for conducting assessment studies at the state and / or corporate level.
