KGIU started the training of computer science teachers.
On the basis of the Karaganda State Industrial University, the Cisco Networking Academy of the Kazakh Info communication Academy gratuitously started 60 teachers of computer science at secondary schools and colleges in the course “IT Essentials: the Basics of Network Technologies”. Cisco is the world leader in the field of network technologies, and its current work in the regions is the result of an agreement signed by the government of Kazakhstan, according to which Cisco will support the state program Digital Kazakhstan. So over the next three years, Cisco Networking Academy intends to introduce a whole series of training programs on the territory of the country. Here and in the Karaganda region Cisco has concluded a tripartite memorandum of cooperation with the regional akimat and KGIU. As a result, KGIU was the first in Kazakhstan to start teaching computer science teachers.
The course “IT Essentials: the basics of network technologies” implies full-time training and final certification of teachers as instructors-trainers of this course. At the same time, all teachers will be given permanent access to the database of updated educational resources of the Cisco Networking Academy for use in the educational process.
– In order to implement the Message of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in order to implement the elements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the digitalization of the economy, KGIU, in cooperation with the Cisco Networking Academy, will become the base platform for the introduction of the latest digital technologies and training new personnel with digital skills in the Karaganda region. The University possesses the necessary material and technical base for creating this training ground, raising the level of professional skill and retraining of personnel, and strives to create a system of training personnel using the latest digital technologies, “said the rector of the State Research and Development University Doctor of Technical Sciences Bakhyt Zhautikov.
