On September 1, teachers and students of the Karaganda State Industrial University celebrated Kurban Ait.

The tradition to celebrate Kurban Ait in KGIU has recently appeared, the main aim of the events dedicated to this holiday is spiritual unity, education of charity, humanism and tolerance.

More than 300 students and teachers organized a festive table. The event was attended by management, university professors, representatives of the city mosque, parents of students.

In words of congratulations the rector of University Zhautikov Bakhyt Akhatovich addressed: “Kurban Ait is a symbol of creation, good and blessings, which calls people to charity and empathy. During the independence of Kazakhstan, Kurban Ait in our country has become a truly significant holiday, contributing to the unity of the people and strengthening interfaith harmony in the society, “he noted.

With the words of edification and blessing to the youth, elders of the university, professors Bykhin Bolat Bykhinovich, Baigabatov Token Smakovych, Akhmetov Zhetpisbes Akhmetovich, pro-rectors and deans addressed the university. They noted the importance of Kurban Ait for Muslims and urged students to take care of those in need of assistance, to strengthen moral values and to join in spiritual traditions.

After the event, according to tradition, the meat of the sacrificial ram was distributed to low-income families.

According to the teachers of the university, such events have a great educational aspect, since they teach students mercy, compassion, educate them in spirituality.
