On February 18, 2022 at 13.00 in the 223 auditorium of the new building of the
Karaganda Industrial University, the opening of the City Hackathon for students of schools and
colleges «TemirTau-2022» will take place.
The TemirTau-2022 hackathon is an educational, project and communication forum for
students of secondary schools and colleges in Temirtau, the purpose of which is to identify and
professionally develop teams that have developed the most promising projects in the IT direction
to solve urgent problems of introducing digital technologies in education and public life.
The main objectives of the Hackathon are:
– search for promising, talented, purposeful youth representatives from among the
students of schools and colleges of Temirtau to attract structural divisions of Karaganda
Industrial University and enterprises of Temirtau to project activities;
– development of professional growth of students in the fields of artificial intelligence
technologies, information security, software development;
– support of participants' ideas;
– development of creative thinking and experience of interdisciplinary teamwork on IT
projects;
– formation of a data bank of design solutions for business tasks;
– providing an opportunity for young people to communicate with managers and experts
of leading companies.
Projects from representatives of Temirtau Higher Polytechnic College, Temirtau College
of Economics at Karaganda Industrial University, Temirtau Technical College, specialized
boarding school of information technologies «Ozat», Lyceum No. 9, the First Temirtau Classical
Lyceum, Gymnasium named after A. Bokeikhanov, secondary schools No. 14, 20, 27, completed
in the following areas, were announced for participation in the City Hackathon «TemirTau-
2022».:
Smart City;
Smart University;
Information technologies in the life of society.
All three directions are extremely relevant, since the improvement and active
implementation of IT technologies, artificial intelligence, digitalization are one of the priority
trends of the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Karaganda Industrial University is
called upon to be the first and very significant link in the process of training specialists for this
most innovative field of activity.
At the Karaganda Industrial University, on the basis of the educational and research center “Metallurgy”, together with the enterprises of Tau-Ken Temir LLP and Silicon mining LLP, research work was carried out on the disposal of technogenic microsilica waste generated during the smelting of technical silicon.
Educational and research center “Metallurgy” is the production site of the educational process.
This:
– Bachelor’s degree allows students to conduct laboratory tests to obtain new alloys and ligatures.
– Undergraduates and doctoral students can carry out research and dissertation work, as well as young scientists can carry out research projects.
It is worth noting that our students can perform contractual work together with the industries of the Karaganda region.
For the comprehensive education of student youth, support is provided at the state level. One of them is the possibility of studying abroad for 1 academic period. Students of Karaganda Industrial University studied under the academic mobility program for 4 months. Students were enrolled in the program on a competitive basis, 7 students studied at the Czestochowa Polytechnic University (Republic of Poland) at the expense of budgetary funds allocated under the academic mobility program.
Our students have passed a special selection for studying abroad. According to the results of the selection, the following students were recognized as worthy to be sent to study within the framework of academic mobility: Batyrbekov Rakhat Sultanovich, Zhalgasbaev Nurislam Nurdullauly, Kamaladinov Bagdat Urinbosarovich, Mamaev Bakdaulet Kairzhanovich, Mukhtarov Aibek Temirkhanovich, Sarsenov Beksultan Zharboluly, Khaitmetova Mukaddas Unkasovna.
The students of our university noted that their training was very interesting and useful. And in the future to share the knowledge received from Europe, to use them in their practice.
An action “Religion and Youth” was held at our university. During the action, students were provided with new information, and students received a new issue of the regional magazine “Religion and Time”. All study groups of our university took an active part in the action.
