The implementation of the «Silver university» project continues at Karaganda industrial university.

On June 1 the second stream of students, numbering more than 20 people, began training in the course «Computer literacy». Before the start of practical classes, the students of the courses got acquainted with the university. Galina Sivyakova, vice–rector for strategic development, told about the history of the university’s formation, and Svetlana Anatolyevna Noskova, head of the library, told about the university library.

At the end of the tour, the students were divided into 2 subgroups, after which an introductory lesson was conducted with them. At the introductory lesson, the cadets of the «Silver university» got acquainted with the device of a personal computer, mastered the basic techniques of working with a mouse and keyboard, as well as flash media.

In addition to computer literacy courses, the «Silver university» project is recruiting groups in such areas as financial literacy, entrepreneurship school, chess club.

On May 31, the Karaganda industrial university hosted a round table “Tarikhtan tagylym-otken tagzym” dedicated to the day of remembrance of victims of political repression.

The event was attended by deans of faculties, deputy deans of faculties, teachers of departments, activists.

The purpose of the event is to form national historical consciousness, strengthen Kazakhstan’s identity and unity on the basis of a common history, strengthen the values of equality, tolerance and friendship of all ethnic groups, stability in the country.

Director of the department of educational work and youth policy Madina Meiramovna Salpenova noted that this day is of special importance not only for the history of our country, it is a memorable event for hundreds of thousands of peoples who were exiled to Kazakhstan during the years of Stalin’s repressions.

The head of the department of “History of Kazakhstan, Social and Humanitarian disciplines” Soltan Magira Soltanovna noted that in the history of the country, along with the great epochs, there were many tragic periods. During the Stalinist repressions, which became one of the most terrible tragedies of the twentieth century for the Kazakh people, heroism and solidarity of people of various nationalities helped to survive and survive.

In this regard, the lecturer of the department of “History of Kazakhstan, social and humanitarian disciplines” Laura Oralbekovna Shoeva notes, today we need a history that accumulates at the national level, that is, it can be the foundation of a national worldview.

At the end of the meeting, the director of the ddepartment of educational work and youth policy Madina Meiramovna Salpenova noted that each of us should not forget that our civic duty to the nation is to revive the history of the past in the minds of future generations, not to forget the lessons of history.

Today, on May 30, on the basis of the Karaganda Industrial University, an online meeting “New Kazakhstan: a new look” was held on the issues of explaining constitutional reforms. The event was attended by deputies of the city maslikhat, undergraduates, members of student self-government bodies, university student activists and media representatives.

Speaking to the audience, rector of Karaganda Industrial University Abdrasilov Bolatbek Serikbayevich noted that the referendum is an important step for the country. The initiators of the new history will be the changes and changes of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in the Constitution. It will be a prestigious stage reflecting clear goals and an ideal future for the new Kazakhstan.

Alexey Borisovich Lomakin, secretary of the maslikhat of Temirtau, noted that active work and close interaction with students is being carried out within the walls of the university. This means that the new reform is of paramount importance for young people.

In this regard, the 2nd year student of Karaganda Industrial University Tleubek Arailym expressed his opinion about the referendum on behalf of the future youth of New Kazakhstan. In my opinion, the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev considers the main meaning of his policy to take care of the present and future of young people. Among them were student speeches, debates, sports events for the education of young people.

Indeed, youth is an ideal period for the realization of many ideas that originated in the heart of a young community. It is necessary to form a broad platform of social stages, including measures aimed at supporting all categories of young people,” she said.

At the end of the meeting, the rector of Kariu Bolatbek Serikbayevich Abdrasilov noted that a lot of work is being done for the university.
