A memorandum was signed between LLP «Tau-Ken Temir» and Karaganda Industrial University
On April 1, 2021, a memorandum was signed between the Karaganda Industrial University and Tau-Ken Temir LLP. The signing was attended by the acting Rector of KarIU Abdrasilov Bolatbek Serikbaevich and General Director of LLP «Tau-Ken Temir» Akberdin Rustam Aleksandrovich.
The signing of the memorandum will expand the partnerships of both organizations and will make it possible to effectively use the production experience of Tau-Ken Temir specialists and the scientific potential of KarIU.
Within the framework of the memorandum, scientific research will be carried out by order of «Tau-Ken Temir», including on unique ore-thermal furnaces of the university, which can become the basis for large-scale research within the framework of large projects and programs in order to obtain materials with new physicochemical properties … Agreements were also reached on joint filing of applications for participation in various grant competitions and PTFs, commercialization of the results of scientific and technical activities. The issues of creating a joint innovation infrastructure, which will become a platform for the implementation of tasks for the integration of science and production, were discussed.
Also, according to the memorandum, it is planned to hold joint scientific and practical conferences, seminars, exchanges of publications and other scientific materials. Industrial practice of students will be organized at the production facilities of Tau-Ken Temir LLP, joint projects for advanced training and scientific internships of teaching staff, employees, undergraduates, PhD students will be implemented both on the basis of our university and on the basis of LLP «Tau-Ken Temir»
Earlier, representatives of the enterprise visited the research and production center «Metallurgy» operating at our university, got acquainted with the commissioned ore-thermal furnace, studied the work of the center. At present, the university scientists are working on the digitalization of metallurgical redistribution processes and the creation of a scientific and educational portal «Digital Metallurgy».
For reference. LLP «Tau-Ken» Temir was established on November 28, 2013, is implementing a project for the production of metallurgical silicon based on the Aktas and Akshoky-3 vein quartz deposits in the Karaganda region. The design capacity is 23.9 thousand tons. Products are sold to European countries, Russia, Canada, USA.
